Kivuno ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Kivuno mobile application (the "App"). This page explains what information the App does and does not collect, and how it's used.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or to anyone else. Everything the App does happens entirely on your own phone. There is no account to create, no data leaves your device, and we have no way to see or access anything about how you or your children use the App.
The App does not collect, and has no way to collect, any of the following:
The App does not request permission to access the internet, and cannot connect to the internet at all — this isn't a policy choice, it's a technical fact: the App never asks Android for network access, so it has no way to send information anywhere even if it wanted to.
To do its job, the App stores some information, but only on the phone it's installed on:
None of this ever leaves your device. It isn't backed up to us, sent to any server, or shared with any third party, because the App has no connection to the internet and no server to send it to. If your phone's own Android backup feature (a general Android feature controlled by your Google account settings, not something this App does on its own) is turned on, this data may be included in your phone's regular backup the same way any other app's data would be — that's a normal part of how Android works, not something specific to this App.
The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind. It does not share information with any third party, because it doesn't collect any information to share in the first place.
The App is designed for parents to set up and manage for their children's use, and does not collect personal information from anyone — parents or children. Because nothing personal is collected, stored anywhere but the device, or shared, the App does not create the kind of data-collection concerns that laws like COPPA (the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) are designed to address.
The App asks for a small number of Android permissions. Every one of them is used only to make a specific parental-control feature work on your own device — none of them are used to collect or share information, and none of them give the App internet access (it has none):
If anything about how the App handles data changes in the future — for example, if a future update adds an online feature — this policy will be updated to describe that change, and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
Questions about this policy can be sent to info@kivuno.com.
